Stephen Curry

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Curry has been providing advisory services to management teams and boards of national and regional banks, financial services companies, start-ups and private investor groups for over 30 years. He has successfully guided these firms through acquisitions and divestitures, merger integrations, digital transformations, operational restructurings, implemented growth strategies and resolved complex regulatory issues. He has served on the boards of financial services, technology and fintech companies. Prior to Endurance, Stephen was Chairman & CEO at Gateway First Bank, where he led the transformation of a Gateway Mortgage into a full-service bank, and CEO of a FinTech. His previous leadership roles include COO level, Business Development and Strategic Planning executive roles in Corporate & Investment Banking and Wealth Management at Bank of America, and other operating and financial management roles at predecessors NationsBank and NCNB. He has been involved in over 160 bank mergers, acquisitions and divestitures of all sizes, and maintains a sizeable national network of leading bankers, attorneys, auditors, consultants, investors and technology companies. Stephen began his career in Dallas, Texas at Republic Bank in 1986.

Steven Patrick

Managing Director/Strategic Planning, Corporate Finance, Mortgage and Liquidity Management

Mr. Patrick is a senior corporate finance professional, with deep expertise in strategic planning, liquidity management, financial management and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining Endurance, Steven served as Corporate Treasurer for a $2 billion regional bank and eight years at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago in various planning, research and product development roles. Prior to joining the FHLBC, Steven was a managing director in Bank of America’s corporate finance advisory group and an associate at Merrill Lynch. Over the course of his 13-year investment banking career, Steven executed a wide variety of financing transactions, capital raises and valuation assignments. Steven was also a business strategy consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton for three years. He has an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago and a BA, magna cum laude, with distinction from Carleton College.


Peter Moenickheim

Managing Director/Risk Management & Data Science

Peter has more than twenty years of professional experience, the majority in banking, consumer finance, and the payments industries. Peter most recently served as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for Gateway First Bank, a bank and mortgage company. He led the efforts to implement a risk management framework for the bank after Gateway acquired it in 2019. Prior to Gateway, He served as the Chief Risk Officer for Ocwen Financial, a large publicly traded mortgage servicer and automobile dealer lender where he oversaw the redesign and build out the risk and compliance management framework. Prior to Ocwen, Peter worked for Santander Consumer where he held a variety of roles including Chief Risk Officer, and Chief Operational Risk Officer (CORO). Prior to that he was with JPMorgan Chase where he served as Chief Control Officer for Global Consumer & Community Banking Operations, as well as CRO for the Nationwide Bank. Peter also implemented the risk engine and risk framework for CheckFree, a fintech in the electronic billing and payment space. Peter has worked with independent clients on first, second, and third line of defense projects. He is an ABA Certified Enterprise Risk Professional (CERP) and a graduate of the ABA Compliance School. He also remains active in the risk management industry having served as a member of the RMA’s Operational Risk Council and sits on several Advisory Boards.


Managing Director/Risk Management & Data Science

Mr. Mainker is a globally experienced leader in Risk Management, Operations, Data Science, and Technology. An early proponent of Digital Transformation, Praful enhanced compliance operations for Home Lending, Card and Digital businesses at JPMorgan Chase by leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Visual Analytics techniques resulting in identification of several critical operational opportunities for improvement. As Sr. Director of Regulatory Risk Management, he transformed AML, Fraud and BSA programs to resolve a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA) with the Department of Justice. While SVP, Operational Risk Management at Citigroup (Mortgage), Praful shepherded the vast organization through the Mortgage Consent Order (MCO) issued by the Office of the US Comptroller of Currency (OCC) and the US Federal Reserve Board (FRB). While at Capital One Financial Services, Praful led the merger of Mortgage Operations acquired from Chevy Chase, Hibernia and North Fork Banks. Praful also strengthened Auto Finance business by implementing significant technology infrastructure upgrades, as well as establishing a new Auto Buying Program.



Managing Director/Risk Management

Mr. Gordon is a senior risk professional who has designed and implemented industry-leading processes and tools that have transformed the identification and mitigation of risk along with improvement of organizational business processes and culture change. He has worked in senior executive roles within the financial services industry for more than 25 years across the three lines of defense: Customer facing; Compliance; and Independent Review. Key areas of expertise include strategic risk projects, establishment of credit review and underwriting programs for credit, portfolio management, OFAC (sanctions) compliance, BSA/AML, risk assessments, due diligence and merger and acquisition reviews. Larry is a Certified Anti-Money-Laundering Specialist. He also has deep expertise in continuous improvement and Six Sigma. His underwriting experience spans a variety of industries including financial services, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, retail, business and consumer services, including operating companies with international supply chains and global customer bases. Larry has an MBA from the University of Rochester and BBA from University of Texas.


Joseph Siegel

Managing Director/Commercial Banking and Corporate Finance

Mr. Siegel is a senior corporate and investment banking professional with over 35 years of experience building credit platforms and generating revenue through banking advisory services. Joe has advised clients in leveraged finance, syndicated finance, private banking, credit and client management. Mr. Siegel has served in key executive management roles, most recently as Chief Banking Officer at a $2 billion regional bank. Prior to that, he was responsible for Corporate & Investment Banking Corporate Lending in North America for both BBVA and Compass Bank. He also led the Syndicated Finance Team arranging, underwriting and executing senior floating rate capital solutions. For many years Joe served as a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, focused on debt capital markets, concentrated in leveraged and syndicated finance.

Peter Brown

Managing Director/Credit Risk

Mr. Brown is a credit risk management executive with an accomplished credit risk management and turnaround/workout career. Mr. Brown oversaw governance and strategy programs for risk management and compliance, including relationships with key regulators and supervisory institutions nationwide in credit underwriting, portfolio management, enterprise risk management, loan administration, workout and turnaround, collection/recovery call centers, OREO administration, and asset/note sales. Mr. Brown was responsible for managing classified loan portfolios and devising innovative initiatives that have maximized over $100 million in economic value while remediating and disposing of over $1 billion in classified assets and loans in executive positions with Cadence Bank, Southwest Securities, FSB, Capital One N.A., and Hibernia National Bank.

Steve Everbach

Managing Director/Commercial Real Estate

Mr. Everbach has held leadership positions for several global commercial real estate companies throughout his career and has completed over 8 million square feet of transactions representing an aggregate value over $2 billion. As part of leadership teams over the past decade, he has led strategic initiatives in technology and innovation to provide data-driven insights for clients to help them make the best decisions for their business. Prior positions include President - Central Region for Colliers International, and DFW Market Leader and U.S. Agency Leasing Lead for Cushman & Wakefield. Mr. Everbach concentrates on advising financial institutions, investors and occupiers on strategic positioning, valuations, capital raising and funding, turnarounds, and investment strategies that consistently delivered superior returns to banks, occupier and investor clients. Stephen also leads a Commercial Real Estate investment fund.


Dr. Bill Conroy

Managing Director/Information Technology

Dr. Conroy has over thirty-five years of practical experience enhancing architecture, execution, and engineering skills to solve complicated business problems. Bill's early career included Military Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence, (C4I); Government Acquisition; Transportation (multi-mode), and Logistics. After his military service, Bill's career expanded into financial services when he joined Bank of America. Bill provided leadership and problem-solving skills to developing and implementing software and technology solutions for the banks Global Markets, Investor Solutions, Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and Commercial Banking businesses. Since retiring from Bank of America Bill has served as CIO at a $2 billion regional bank and provided hands on consulting expertise to many regional and community banks across the nation. He is a trusted advisor to numerous C-Suite executives in banking and other industries assisting with both strategy and execution. Bill received his PhD in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University.

David White

Managing Director/Information Technology

Mr. White has over 30 years of experience in Technology, with a specialization in Application Development, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Data Centers and Cloud Systems. He advises regional and community banks on technology strategies, evolving FinTech solutions, cybersecurity and operational enhancements. David began his career in Dallas with InterFirst and spent the next 20 years leading technology acquisition integration for the consolidation of banks that ultimately became Bank of America. David’s efforts in the development and implementation of global data center consolidation strategies, and deployment of state-of-the-art systems management and cybersecurity, and IT governance were a critical component of the banks competitive advantage. He held leadership roles in operations, technology, customer information systems, lending systems, banking center, credit card, call center and e-Commerce systems. David’s led technology and operational Integration of over 120 banks and financial institutions, and managed technology assessments and projects at regional and community banks, mortgage companies, fintechs, core system processors, card processors and security platforms.

Dr. Gowin brings more than 30 years of Treasury and Payments experience with financial institutions to Endurance Advisory Partners. Recent engagements include creation of Treasury Management business at a regional bank, interim Treasury Management Executive at a newly-chartered bank and interim President & CEO of BAFT, an international banking association, in Washington DC. Prior experience includes Global Managing Director -- Financial Institutions Treasury Group (FIG) at Bank of America, covering banks, broker/dealers, insurance companies and mortgage companies. She led her division through the financial collapse of 2008-2010 and sustained no losses. Kathleen has published several articles and is a frequent speaker at local and national conferences and webinars. She earned an MBA at the University of Illinois-Springfield and a Doctorate of Business Administration at Jacksonville University.

Nick Hahn

Managing Director/Finance and Operations

With more than 35 years of financial services industry experience, Nick Hahn is a strategic financial officer focusing primarily on the banking, mortgage origination and servicing, and asset management sectors. Nick has C-suite operational, financial accounting and control, banking and treasury, and capital markets experience gained at publicly traded as well as private equity owned banks and mortgage companies. Nick has served as Chief Financial Officer for community bank holding companies including most recently at Gateway First Bancorp in Tulsa, OK. He has also been interim Chief Operating and Financial Officer for a national residential mortgage loan originator and servicer, interim CFO for a $3 billion publicly traded community bank holding company, CFO of a national home equity line lender, and also CFO of a national reverse mortgage company. In addition, Nick held senior executive roles at Countrywide Financial Corporation, Associated Banc-Corp, a $30 billion publicly traded full-service regional bank, and CoBank, ACA, a $150 billion Farm Credit Bank. Critical skill sets include managing strategic projects and developing the financial and risk management infrastructure as well as the human capital pool required as part of a business transformation, and growth and life cycle of financial services institutions. As COO/CFO, he helped take private equity owned second stage dynamic, entrepreneurial companies to the next level in the growth cycle and evolution of the organization, and managed lucrative exit and liquidity strategies for the equity holders, family, and founders. Nick holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from DePaul University, Chicago. He also holds an active license as a certified public accountant, in Oklahoma, Iowa and is registered in Illinois. He also has the designation of Chartered Management Accountant with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Dan Ward

Managing Director/Finance and Operations

Mr. Ward is a Consultant with deep content knowledge in program management across all banking and investment businesses. He is a leader in the FinTech community with strong understanding of Operations Management and Intellectual Automation, and highly effective at building consensus and leading change through to successful results. Dan has experience in merger integrations and business transformations and has served as senior change initiative lead managing people, process and IT/digital changes. He also has deep expertise in management accounting, risk and finance, with mortgage product knowledge to implement business strategy and risk control framework. He is a six-sigma master black belt.

Mr. Fults is a Process, Product, Data and Technology Consultant. He specializes in software selection, product management, process design, and data science. John develops road maps for solution features, priorities, and timelines, and designs improved processes and workflows. He has 20+ years of experience in Banking, Mortgage and Settlement Services. He is a six-sigma black belt and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Tennessee.
